The role: Technical Program Manager

Technical Program Managers are the core of managing Google's continued growth. This position ensures that Google's services can be deployed in a time, place and configuration which is ideal for serving users. You must demonstrate the ability to provide matrix leadership across functional teams, lead complex projects to successful completion, evaluate data and understand complex technical topics affecting Google services and users.

Program Managers will manage a new program designed to grow the number of relevant and compelling web/mobile applications in India. You will be working with startups, entrepreneurs and application developers on a day to day basis. You must be comfortable with the startup ecosystem in India and be able to provide business and technical guidance to startup companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize, design and implement a program which will help in building an ecosystem which nurtures ideas into successful business ventures.
  • Work with developers and startups in the local markets to develop and launch robust, useful web and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate closely with Venture Capitals, existing incubators and Non Profit Organizations to make the program successful.

Requirements:

  • BE/BTech degree or equivalent experience in Computer science with a strong academic record and an MBA preferred.
  • At least 8 years of work experience with 3 years in managing large-scale and dynamic technical programs.
  • Experience with startups at a senior managerial level.
  • Experience in dealing with Venture Capitals and funding agencies.
  • Ability to interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups, spanning all organizational levels.
  • Ability to levarage technology to solve real life problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
